We know, as a mom, you have a whole day packed with various things to do. Even if your world is upside down, your baby is able to stay close to you and knows the security that you give them. Your baby will be content and well-balanced knowing she can be close to you. We have developed our carriers to meet your needs and make things easier on you.

Our baby carriers can be infinitely adjusted in the panel and thus grow with baby. You can set the size with a velcro fastener, located on the inside of the waist belt, which also protects sensitive baby feet from chafing. We offer the Kokadi TaiTai and Kokadi Flip in three different sizes to ensure optimum support for your little sweetheart. The headrest can be attached using snaps.  Bundled it supports baby's neck or it can also cover baby's head for weather protection.

The shoulder straps are snapped into the hip belt on the Kokadi Flip in order to prevent pressure on baby's sensitive back.
The Flip Toddler size and Toddler size XL has an additional buckle so you and baby can decide where to fasten the shoulder straps wherever is most comfortable.

Our carriers are produced under fair work conditions within Europe and undergo strict safety guidelines and quality controls.

Production

Production in renowned Mills in Turkey

Turkey enjoys an amazing worldwide reputation in the textile industry, therefore our slings are manufactured under careful conditions there. The social and environmental working conditions are just as important to us, as are the careful selection of raw materials and their processing. Our seeds for the cotton are 100% organic. The plants are fertilized organically and without the use of herbicides or pesticides. Pests are treated with natural solutions and repellents.  When the cotton is ready, it is carefully harvested by hand. The cotton is processed to high-quality yarn – our raw material for baby slings.
Next it becomes colorful - the yarn is dyed in the desired color, and we deliberately refrain from heavy metals and toxic substances such as formaldehyde. We comply with the guidelines of the "global organic textile standards" GOTS. This means that our slings are particularly kind to the skin, saliva and sweat resistant. Through a complex weave - the so-called Jaquardtechnik – beautiful patterns are woven into the slings. This is accomplished using the specially designed Jaquardweavechair.  Here imagination has almost no limit. The wrap is diagonal elastic and thus adapts perfectly to the back of the baby.  The fabric is now finished and subsequently heated mechanically. This has two advantages: due to the heating, the wrap is beautifully soft and cuddly – and also less likely to shrink during washing.  Now, the fabric is woven and cut to the appropriate length. Each Kokadi sling has double-fringed selvage (self-finished edge) in order to reach a sufficient stability when worn. The center is marked on each wrap with a top and bottom kokadi label. The width is 70 cm (≈ 27.5 in). This provides a secure grip even for older children. The long sides end in diagonal slants. This helps in knot tying. Your Kokadi wrap can support a weight of approximately 100 kg (≈ 220 lbs).
Each sling undergoes a careful quality control before delivery.

Bonded weave

The Bonded (connected) is a brand new weave on the Sling market. This was specially developed by the Kokadi. The benefits: Sling fabrics that overlap. The special advantage is that the woven layers are only connected to one another at the points where the Patterns were woven. The colors of the pattern and the primary colors of wrap are so very clear and beautiful. The wrap layers are much thinner. The wrap is incredibly firm, but soft and cuddly - perfect for carrying larger children. The fabric is diagonal flexible and well suited for Wrapping beginners. Through the two fabric layers any unevenness in binding is balanced.

Avant garde weave

The Kokadi avant garde line represents a new type of sling design:
Striking and exceptionally unique these Wraps embellish Mamas and Papas.
The Avant garde slings are pure fashion! - and, because of the fine woven structure, they offer security and coziness for your child. The towels are thin woven, incredibly grippy and stable, but at the same time soft and very easy to wrap with.  Making bigger kids and newborns equally comfortable and  protected.

Classic weave

The jacquard weave is a special weave procedure in which two different colors are used to weave patterns into the fabric. Because of this process you can see the pattern of the weave on both sides of the wrap in opposite colors. These wraps are soft and cuddly.
A well proven weave to highlight the pattern.

Resources

Cotton

Cotton is a plant and belongs to the genus of the mallow family. From the hair of the cotton fiber the seed is obtained. It is a natural fiber. This cotton fiber is spun into threads and yarns. Our cotton is organic and hand-picked.

Hemp

Cannabis belongs to the genus of the hemp family. It is a natural fiber. The hemp fibers are made from industrial hemp. The fibers are extremely resistant to tearing. The fibers are spun into yarns. Hemp is typically more durable than cotton.

Linen

Linen – thread made from fibers of the flax plant. Through a complex process, the fibers are first dried, crushed, swung, heckled and cleaned. The resulting long fibers are spun into high-quality threads. Linen has a very smooth, shiny surface, since there is almost no air trapped between the fibers, peeling is minor. It is less susceptible to collect dirt and bacteria, and due to its air balancing feature, has a cooling effect in the Summer.

Cashmere

Cashmere is a very soft and fine natural fiber. This is derived from the undercoat of the cashmere goat. It is one of the most valuable and most expensive natural fibers. Cashmere is very warm and light. The fibers are spun into fine yarns.

Silk

Silk is a very fine natural animal fiber. It is derived from the cocoon of the silkworm. These threads, spun while cocooning, are unspun and then several threads are twisted together. This thread is now processed into a smooth textile surface. Silk is highly tear resistant and acts as insulation against the cold as well as the heat.
